Monogamy requires an extreme amount of energy for a very limited result, i.e. maintaining the relationship's status quo; as the years rub the patina of excitement off everybody's marriage, is introducing some variety, or even just desiring it, pernicious to one's commitment to their spouse? I found out, and the journey does not stop here.
